Manhattan Bedroom
The client wanted a minimal feel with pops of color and a mix of design styles.
We started with a color family for the room. I chose a warm white for the walls, and added a red-ish pink to the base boards, window trim, and doors to add some interest and depth to the room.
We played with a mix of jewel tones and muted colors to create a playful yet sophisticated feel. In addition to the colors, I added a mix of textures through the wool rug, embroidered cotton curtains, linen duvet, and velvet-wrapped lamps.
Adding storage to any space is always a priority in my designs. I flipped the bed to the other side of the room to create a cohesive walkway. Moving the bed to the other side allowed more space for a dresser, two nightstands, a bench, and a chair.
